An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and confident administrator to join the University of East Anglia Student Sport team, uea+sport, working closely alongside the student sport department, UEA students and external partners to take responsibility for the coordination of uea+sport club’s competitive activity.
You’ll provide operational support to uea+sport clubs to enable them to both fulfil and host British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) fixtures, local league fixtures and club competitions.
This role will include the organisation of transport, facility bookings, registering individuals and teams for competitions and submitting results.
You will also provide administrative support to other Sportspark departments (such as our Events/Conferences and Community Sports Development teams) at various times to ensure operational effectiveness in those departments.
You will need GCSEs at Grade C or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent level of qualification or directly relevant experience) with good administrative skills. You’ll be able to communicate effectively and efficiently to a wide range of stakeholders and have an interest in and commitment to sport and the use of sport to develop people and performance. This post will offer exposure to a wide range of departments within the Sportspark, allowing you to develop your skills across numerous teams.
This full-time (40 hours per week) post is available from 2 September 2024, on an indefinite basis. There is an expectation of flexibility to meet the demands of the role across peak periods.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service, including a check of the Child and Vulnerable Adult Barred Lists.
