About the Role
As a Health Assessor you will be the key partner to learners and placement providers with health settings. You will work with learners to ensure they are supported to achieve their best, whilst developing long-term relationships with local employers that will increase placement opportunities they can offer to learners.
You will visit learners in the employer settings assessing the competency and knowledge of learners. You will manage a range of health and social care programmes and review the progress of each learner in line with organisational expectations to ensure timely completion of qualifications.

You will have experience working within a health care setting as a health care worker or similar. Ideally you will also have experience working as an assessor. You will be qualified at Level 3 or above and hold an Assessor’s award or be willing to obtain within 6 months.
You will be customer focused, organised, have a good understanding of the assessment process as well as having excellent IT skills and used a variety of IT platforms/systems.
You will hold a Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths or be willing to work towards.
Department Info
The role of Trainer/Assessor - Health reports directly to the Curriculum Manager. The role works closely with Curriculum Team Leaders and Lecturers. You will also liaise with wider college teams in the course of your duties.
