The Department of IT and Digital Services (IT&DS) is responsible for providing IT and Digital services to support the learning, teaching, research, and administrative work of Goldsmiths. The Department plays a key role in ensuring that staff and students have excellent digital experiences that enhance their experience of working and studying at the College. About the Role
Reporting to the Digital Product Manager the role holder will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) based on the Moodle platform.
About the Candidate
Are you passionate about digital learning and looking for an exciting opportunity? We’re seeking a dedicated professional to join our Digital Product team as a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) Developer.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our digital strategy, working with our Moodle-based VLE. You’ll develop, maintain, and enhance our platform, ensuring it meets the needs of our faculty and students.
You’ll have the chance to lead technical development work, provide crucial support to users, and collaborate with academic and administrative staff to translate their needs into functional requirements.
Quality assurance, continuous improvement, and proactive liaison with internal and external contacts will be key parts of your role. You’ll also monitor usage patterns and rates of the VLE platform, ensuring efficient and effective use.
