Description of Post
The Assistant Lecturer will deliver modules in the area of Veterinary Nursing.
Please note: The postholder will be based at the ATU Donegal, Letterkenny Campus.
Essential Qualifications
Minimum
- Applicants must hold a qualification in Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Medicine recognised by the Veterinary Council of Ireland, the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons UK or equivalent.
- Must be registered with VCI or RCVS.
- Three years relevant post-qualification experience.
Desirable
- A postgraduate qualification at PhD level.
- Experience of lecturing in a 3rd level environment.
- Experience in the development of new programmes and curricular development.
- Experience in the supervision of placements
- Actively engaged in conducting research.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work in teams.
