The Learning team at the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is looking for a highly motivated individual with experience of providing creative education in Early Years settings. This is a part-time permanent contract working 14 hours per week between Monday and Friday. We can offer flexibility on exact days and hours for the right candidate, and this can be discussed in interview.
Reporting to Primary Education Manager you will plan, develop and deliver a range of high-quality early years and family activities in pre-school, community and in-school EYFS settings. These could be outreach visits or in our inspirational Shakespeare Homes and Gardens.
To be successful in this role you will hold an Early Years Education (Level 3) qualification or above, or equivalent professional Early Years practice. You will have a proven ability to understand, inspire, communicate and empathise with our youngest people and their families, across a full range of abilities, social and cultural backgrounds. You will have the ability to teach and facilitate sessions for families, children and young people, being able to generate ideas and initiate and manage projects, and working to defined budgets.
You will be working closely with teachers and external stakeholders, as well as with the SBT Learning team. You will have experience of working in family activities and or education in a heritage environment and ideally a passion for the works, life and times of William Shakespeare.
