The School of English, Communication and Philosophy at Cardiff University is seeking to appoint two Lecturers in Philosophy to 12-month fixed-term contracts on the Teaching and Scholarship pathway. These posts are to fill specific teaching needs for the academic year 2024-25.
The successful candidates will have established research records in political philosophy or social epistemology and records of high-quality teaching.
The successful applicants will contribute to teaching provision across Philosophy’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, within the fields identified above. An ability and willingness to teach in other areas of philosophy will also be advantageous.
The successful applicants will enhance Cardiff’s distinctive provision in philosophy through innovative approaches to module delivery and assessment, along with a commitment to delivering excellent student experience.
They will advance the School’s ambition to be a creative and inclusive community and will engage effectively with academic, professional, and public institutions and groups to enhance the School’s profile.
These are full-time positions (35 hours per week), available from 01 September 2024 until 31 August 2025.
