The Role

An opportunity within the Environmental Change Institute as part of the Energy Demand Observatory and Laboratory as a Researcher in household energy use.

The successful candidate will work with the Energy Programme with Dr Tina Fawcett and Dr Marina Topouzi on the design and testing of data collection tools and methods, including exploring novel qualitative and quantitative ideas. 

To be considered for the role you will be required to either hold, or be close to completion of a PhD/DPhil in a relevant subject or equivalent research experience. Relevant disciplines include psychology, energy studies, geography, sociology, economics, health studies. Familiarity with either household energy use literature or other relevant bodies of knowledge which will assist in undertaking this role. Strong communication skills, including the ability to write for publications, present research proposals and results.
