The role

The role will provide executive assistant support to the School Research Director and an Academic Team Lead, as well as providing support to the wider academic community.

The role holder will work within a busy, yet supportive team within the school office.

This is an exciting role to join the newly established School of Engineering Maths and Technology as an Executive Assistant.

Interviews are planned for the week commencing 5/8/24 with shortlisting the week before.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting the research director with communications
  • Organising internal and external meetings and events
  • Arranging both local and international travel
  • Servicing meetings through drafting agendas
  • Taking & circulating minutes
  • Recording and following up on actions
  • reconciling the Director’s expenses using an online purchasing system.

You should apply if

  • If you enjoy a busy and varied role in an exciting environment and thrive in delivering high-quality executive support.
  • You are comfortable with changing priorities and are a confident problem solver able to combine a busy workload with flexibility and initiative.
  • You might already be working in a role delivering excellent customer service, or have delivered executive support to directors previously.
  • There will be opportunities to develop your skills and experience to make a very real contribution to the operations of the school office.

Additional information

Contract type: Fixed term maternity cover until 07/07/2025 or the earlier return of the post holder
