This is an opportunity to join an ambitious and dynamic team with a start-up mentality and be at the forefront of creating high-quality learning solutions to meet the growing needs of higher education at a world-leading institution.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Work closely with senior learning designers to create module outlines, develop effective learning outcomes, design learning activities and write clear and concise narrative text
  • Assist in preparing scripts, conceiving interview questions, preparing filming briefs and reviewing transcripts
  • Support the rollover and preparation of online modules for delivery, including liaising with key stakeholders to manage tasks and resolve queries, scheduling, and maintaining asana boards
  • Participate in the module review process, writing up evaluation reports and participating in evaluation exercises to ascertain changes and improve delivery to students
  • Assist with ongoing research projects within the IDEA Lab in areas of technological innovation in teaching.

Essential requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable professional qualifications in a relevant field.
  • Awareness of the principles and contemporary best practices in online and blended learning with a passion and ambition for learning design and its role within Academia and society
  • Passion and flair for language and learning
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills and the ability to work as part of a team in the management and successful delivery of projects, using project management tools effectively
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills and the confidence to correspond effectively with all stakeholders
  • Ability and willingness to learn from, and pass knowledge on to, others and develop the relevant formal and informal networks to enhance learning opportunities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to find innovative and elegant solutions to problems using a logical approach.
