Salary from £50,606 to £58,505 per annum inclusive with potential to progress to £65,157 pa inclusive of London allowance

LSE Careers is dedicated to supporting our students and recent alumni in all aspects of their career planning and professional development. Offering an extensive programme of events and activities to help them develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed, we are committed to delivering work to a high professional standard and continually enhancing and developing the services we offer.

As such, we are seeking to appoint a Career Consultant to provide oversight for the careers support provided to LSE students and graduates from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds, enabling them to make effective career decisions and manage their careers successfully in the UK and internationally.

The post-holder will coordinate and contribute to the design, development, delivery and evaluation of careers education programmes for these students and contribute to that offered centrally. This will include, but will not be limited to, one-to-one support, seminars, workshops and networking events. As the lead for the progression workstream of LSE’s access and participation plan (APP), the post-holder will have overall responsibility for delivering agreed intervention strategies, working closely with the Evaluation Manager to put in place appropriate tracking, monitoring and reporting.

As well as first-rate coaching skills, candidates should be confident presenters, skilled facilitators and be able to build collaborative working relationships across different teams. An excellent understanding of the UK and international graduate labour markets and how students can access them effectively is essential.

We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, excellent training and development opportunities and blended/hybrid working arrangements.
