You will be responsible for managing the bioarchaeological collections and instrumentation in the Archaeology and Heritage Science Facility (AHS). You will train research staff, students and visitors in how to use the collections and instrumentation to achieve optimum results. You will also advise on sample preparation and assist with data analysis and interpretation. You may be required to participate in the delivery of short course training. You will contribute to the facility overall organisation and set-up in an efficient and professional manner and ensure that health and safety compliance is a priority.
You will support students and staff in the Facility within your own area of expertise, as well as deputising for the Archaeology and Heritage Science Team Manager as required.
Applicants must have a degree in Archaeology/Heritage Science (or equivalent significant experience) along with in-depth current theoretical and practical knowledge of the curation and analysis of bioarchaeological collections.
