We are currently expanding our MK:U acceleration project team and inviting applications for the post of Student Experience Manager.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Operations and Projects this role is key in helping us to us shape our undergraduate student experience and wellbeing, acting as a champion and ensuring that student feedback and student voice remain front and foremost in our decision making.
As the Student Experience Manager, you will be responsible for four key areas: creating and delivering effective MK:U student communications; designing and leading on engaging students sessions and inductions; working with MK:U course reps and Cranfield Student Association to actively promote and encourage student engagement; and managing feedback to ensure it is effectively captured, collated and analysed before being channelled into making improvements.
About you
We are open to ideas and think creatively about our resourcing needs. We are seeking people to join the team who are as a passionate as we are about the educational needs of our current and future workforce. You must be excited about education innovation and about the idea of further developing MK:U as a new technology university in Milton Keynes.
To be successful in this role you will have a flair for communication and be comfortable working with data and feedback. You will be self-directed, well organised and able to work autonomously to develop and implement a student experience strategy and take the actions that will underpin and support the proposed acceleration on MK:U’s growth in the most effective way possible.
You will be able to demonstrate your resilience and the ability to work within a fast paced, rapidly changing environment. In addition, you will have the inter-personal, persuasion and the required level of written and verbal communication skills to allow you to champion MK:U and present to a range of stakeholders including internal stakeholders, senior decision-makers, potential customers, local schools and students.
You must have a degree level qualification or professional equivalent and, whilst you do not need prior knowledge of the Higher Education sector, it will be expected that you develop your understanding quickly and demonstrate not only that you are a self starter but you must be able to demonstrate your ability to design, implement, evaluate and communicate new initiatives. Communication skills, use of social media, and empathy combined with determination, are all crucial aptitudes for this role.
Please note that due to the nature of this position, any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
