About the role
We are seeking a Deputy Director to join the new and exciting GW-SHIFT (Great Western Supercluster of Hydrogen Innovation for Future Technologies) programme, one of a raft of significant and growing research activities in sustainable hydrogen energy at the University. GW-SHIFT is running for four years from 1 January 2024.
This role involves extensive liaison and engagement with academic, civic and industry partners in the Southwest of England and in South Wales to deliver a regional impact programme for low carbon hydrogen. You will be a pivotal member of the GW-SHIFT management and executive leadership team, working closely at Bath with Prof Tim Mays (Co-Director and Line Manager) and the Project Administrator, PA (to be appointed) and with Prof Xiaohong Li (Co-Director) at the University of Exeter.

You will benefit from working alongside support staff on other hydrogen projects in a new Hydrogen Support Hub on the main Bath campus at Claverton Down.
This position is offered on a part time basis, for 21.9 hours per week, with an expected end date of 31st December 2027.
