The opportunity
University of the Arts London (UAL) has an exciting opportunity for a new Course Leader to shape the next iteration of our MA Innovation Management course at Central Saint Martins (CSM).
MA Innovation Management recruits a diverse mix of ambitious students who predominantly come from various design, social science, management, tech, entrepreneurship and public service backgrounds. The course helps students to develop creative competencies and strategies that drive innovation and change in and across their chosen fields, learning key skills along the way.
As Course Leader, you will lead on the delivery of academic standards that channel these various interests in the context of managing innovation. You will provide academic vision and inspirational course leadership, working closely with colleagues to maintain stimulating and nurturing learning and research environments.
You will help build knowledge exchange initiatives and foster industry connections, whilst building on the international reputation of the course and enhancing professional, academic and research partnerships. You will also help to actively link cultures and methods of research to practice, and practice to research.
About you
You will need a higher degree (e.g. MA) in Innovation and Management Design or an associated subject, along with evidence of research, teaching, knowledge exchange and/or professional practice that contributes to the advancement of Innovation Management activity and is relevant to the goals of the Programme, College and University.
You will possess experience of academic leadership in Higher Education, including experience of successfully managing a team at PG level, delivering a positive student experience and building a staff and student community.
You will also exhibit excellent communication and teamwork skills and the ability to plan, prioritises and manage resources effectively to achieve short-term and long-term objectives.
