The Role
We are looking for a lecturer who will make an immediate contribution to the academic work of the Department of Law and Criminology (DLC) and the University's commitment to be a successful Applied University.
DLC is currently revalidating and refreshing our clinical legal offer, which will provide students with a broad suite of opportunities to develop their client-based skills.
As a lecturer you will conduct teaching, assessment, research, and administrative duties with a focus on social justice issues within contemporary society. Teaching duties will include undergraduate teaching, assessment, student support and other related duties.
The post-holder will also be expected to contribute to research and other forms of scholarly activity as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
The Subject Group
The Law subject group sits within the Department of Law and Criminology
The Department of Law and Criminology includes a dynamic staff group who are developing a portfolio of teaching, research and scholarly activities that cut across the subject areas of law, criminology and community justice.
The law subject group is a diverse mix of colleagues with a broad range of academic and professional practice experience. The primary focus is on law in practice underpinned by strong theoretical knowledge, the development and application of research skills and the enhancement of graduate attributes.
