Introduction to YSJ university

The role
We are seeking to appoint a full-time fixed term – maternity cover, Lecturer in Sport and Social Science, with a focus on Sociology of sport, with a background in Coaching/Teaching pedagogies and qualitative research. The successful candidate will join a well-established team based in the School of Science, Technology, and Health at York St John University’s 57-acre bespoke sports park. We currently offer a range of BASES endorsed courses at foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Required skills and experience
You will hold a PhD/Doctorate in sport & social sciences, and also have teaching experience in social sciences and research methods. Experience of module design, module leadership, and research interests that align with the research areas within the sport department at York St John would be a distinct advantage.
