This new part-time post (0.5 FTE) is available from 1st August 2024 on a fixed term basis until 30th July 2025 with possible extension depending on funding. This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

Summary of the role

We are looking for a passionate and highly effective project manager to coordinate the Endangered Wooden Architecture Programme (EWAP) archive in collaboration with the Programme Manager. This is an important role where you will take ownership over the processing of archival materials in collaboration with the Data Administrator to ensure the maintenance of accurate records within the archive.

EWAP is a grant-giving programme that provides funding to researchers to establish an open-access digital repository, which documents endangered wooden building traditions and preserves records long term. The programme has already provided £2.3 million to 28 projects in 19 countries, recording 575 structures in the form of architectural pictures and drawings, 3D photogrammetry and ethnographic studies.

The Archive Project Manager will support the ingress of digital assets, assessing quality and accuracy of the data from external grantees. In addition, this role will support the generation of Digital Object Identifiers (DOI), provide technical support for the editing and formatting of data, as well as troubleshooting and liaising with the EWAP team to complete projects. This is an interesting and varied role providing an excellent opportunity for career progression within higher education administration.

The successful applicant will have significant experience of administration, excellent attention to detail and the ability and enthusiasm to implement new administrative systems and processes.
