About us
We are the research department of Early Life Imaging, part of the School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences at King's College London. We are based at St Thomas' Hospital in the heart of London.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate in Neuroimaging to join us to assist with a British Heart Foundation funded project entitled "Ultra-high field characterisation of altered functional and metabolic brain development in neonates with congenital heart disease". This project will increase our understanding of altered brain development in infants with congenital heart disease (CHD).
This role will involve acquisition and analysis of fMRI, MRS and other quantitative MR data from newborns with CHD on the 7 Tesla scanner situated in the London Collborative Ultra-high field system (LoCUS) facility at St Thomas Hospital, London.
This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 31st October 2025.

* Please note that this is a PhD level role but candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting award of their PhDs will be considered. In these circumstances the appointment will be made at Grade 5, spine point 30 with the title of Research Assistant. Upon confirmation of the award of the PhD, the job title will become Research Associate and the salary will increase to Grade 6.
