About the role

We are seeking an experienced and successful project manager to coordinate and manage the recently funded ‘X-disciplinary Challenges from Industry for Technical Expert Development’ (X-CITED) programme of works. This £2M, 3-year programme, starting 1st April 2024, has been funded by EPSRC for the development of Research Technical Professionals (RTPs) across the Universities of Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter.

You will work within an enthusiastic (and excited) team, and be key to coordinating this ambitious regional programme, with stakeholders including 10+ industry partners, other national research alliances, research funders and ~200 regional RTPs.

The role will entail:

  • Operational project management on a day-to-day basis, including resource, budgets, and the implementation and maintenance of detailed project plans
  • Organising meetings with relevant stakeholders, co-ordinating with internal and external collaborators to ensure an organised approach, including: making practical arrangements for meetings, preparing agenda and minute taking, and the identification of issues
  • Communication to a wide range of stakeholders, establishment and management of the project website and dealing with media coverage and publicity to a national network

This is a full-time, fixed-term position, expected to end March 2027.

About you

Our ideal candidate will:

  • be an experienced project or programme manager with a record of managing technical and/or administrative projects
