ABOUT THE POST
We are seeking to appoint a Head of Subject to lead the area of Computer Science and Applied Computing, which currently includes 23 permanent expert academics, including 3 professors and has a strong undergraduate and postgraduate portfolio in areas such as Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, Digital Forensics, Computing, Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics.
Candidates will evidence a compelling lead-by-example approach to managing the area by having a deep subject knowledge and broad experience of management in the HE sector. Candidates will demonstrate a keenness and agility in arriving at creative solutions and sound decision-making when meeting University and School performance measures. Candidates will have experience of upholding academic standards, enhancing the student learning experience, and maintaining staff satisfaction.
