ABOUT US
Transforming lives through excellent education
London Met is an extraordinary institution. Equity and social inclusion have always been our driving principles, and it's what makes the University so unique. Our organisation is distinctive, both in its eclectic and diverse community of students and staff, and also for its historical role in serving some of London’s most deprived boroughs. Everything we do is underpinned by our philosophy that an individual should have the opportunity to transform their life through the power of education.
Equipping our students with the tools for their future is at the heart of our academic offering. We pride ourselves on providing our students with access to a wealth of opportunities and professions. Our graduates benefit personally, but also contribute their unique perspectives to society, culture, public service and the economy in all areas of London, the UK and around the world.
The Centre for Teaching Enhancement (CTE) plays a central role in advancing the University’s social mission of transforming lives through education, promoting an inclusive culture, and enabling fair outcomes for our students by supporting staff in all areas at London Met in their professional and career development.
ABOUT THE POST
Based in the Digital Education team in the Centre for Teaching Enhancement, the Senior Learning Designer will collaborate with academic staff in designing online learning materials and in creating digital artefacts for embedding within the curriculum, in order to create and support an excellent blended learning experience for all.
The role will support improvements in the digital capabilities of teaching staff and embed the use and application of digitally enhanced learning and assessment into course design as part of the Student Success and Digital Transformation Strategy.
In addition, the Instructional Designer will support the use of learning technologies and facilitate the creation of high-quality online learning resources for staff, evaluating their use and reviewing existing or new technologies.
