The role
The Senior Education Developer is a key role within the Bristol Institute for Learning and Teaching (BILT) – whose main aim is to enhance teaching and learning at the University of Bristol. BILT consists of a small team who deliver key activities such as staff development, teaching awards, education projects, work with BILT Student Fellows.
The role holder will be focused on developing and promoting online platforms and resources to support BILT activities and working with students on key themes to support BILT objectives.
What will you be doing?
The role involves sourcing, developing and promoting online resources for BILT’s online platforms, including its website, blog and podcast channel. Typical resources include blog posts, case studies, podcasts, and the BILT newsletter. Many of these resources will be developed in collaboration with other BILT team members, academic staff and students.
The role is also responsible for line managing BILT Student Fellows who work on key themes each year to support BILT objectives. The role also organises and runs student hackathons where students are involved in focusing on key themes to share experiences and develop solutions to knotty educational issues.
