Mary Immaculate College is an autonomous, university-level, Catholic College of Education and the Liberal Arts. Founded in 1898, and linked academically with the University of Limerick, MIC is the oldest higher education institution in Limerick. Assistant Professor in ICT/Digital Learning
Mary Immaculate College wishes to appoint an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) in ICT/Digital Learning on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Department of STEM Education, is seeking an innovative and involved faculty member to teach on education programmes within the Faculty of Education. The person appointed will have duties in the area of ICT and Digital Learning and we welcome candidates with additional broad experience and interests in STEM education at primary or post-primary level. They will also have general duties in the area of education, e.g., supervision of school placement, undergraduate and postgraduate research supervision, the development of e-portfolios etc.
Commitment to high-quality teaching and learning in a student-centred environment is important. Enthusiasm for a multi-disciplinary environment is desired with experience in working in integrated STEM environments. The person appointed must exhibit evidence of strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research and continued scholarly activity in integrated STEM education.
