London College of Communication is seeking a dedicated Space Coordinator to join our Project Team. This pivotal role involves maintaining and creating innovative learning environments and workspaces at the current LCC site while preparing for the College’s transition to a new building.
As Space Coordinator, you'll work in a vibrant, creative atmosphere, tackling new and interesting challenges daily. Working closely with the Head of Learning Environments, you will ensure student and staff spaces are well-maintained and continually improved. Your responsibilities will include monitoring learning spaces, contributing to the development of new space types, and collaborating with stakeholders to maximise space utilisation. This role involves both practical and desk-based tasks, such as overseeing furniture deliveries, preparing plans and documents, and supporting Estates Teams and contractors in space preparations.
This hybrid position combines onsite and remote working, with increased onsite presence during holiday periods for major projects and space preparations for new terms.
About you
We are looking for a creative, intuitive problem solver. You should excel in team settings, ready to offer support across various areas, and possess a keen eye for effective space utilisation. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in spreadsheets and databases, are essential. A willingness to learn new digital design software and innovative tools is also important.
Occasionally, you will handle physical tasks, such as overseeing furniture deliveries and leading teams in space preparation for teaching or events. Building good relationships with key stakeholders, such as the Estates Team, Learning Technology Support, and the Timetabling Team, will be crucial to your success in this role.
If you are passionate and excited about supporting and developing teaching and workspace environments within a leading creative institution, we would love to hear from you.
