The Role
In support of an ongoing people focus, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Partner to join the team. We are now seeking an HR professional who thrives in an autonomous environment, someone who understands and who will lead on people matters, and a person that will develop credible, productive, and authentic relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
You will work alongside one other HR Partner, one Senior HR Adviser and one HR Adviser, and will report to the Head of HR Partnering. You will be an experienced and qualified HR practitioner in all areas of employee relations, able to partner effectively with stakeholders, influencing and coaching to successful people outcomes. You will also be familiar with change projects, which may include TUPE, Terms & Conditions, Organisational Design, Trade Union consultation and all organisational and HR requirements related to change consultation and delivery. Adept at identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, you need to be agile, resilient, adaptable, and articulate, with exceptional communication skills and a naturally collaborative approach.
Our HR Partners work collectively in a welcoming professional department, and you will be a team player contributing to delivering high quality, integrated, customer focused people services in support of the People Strategy.
Genuine partnering is the key to positive delivery at the University, we need an HR professional with the ability to query and constructively challenge, as well as the aptitude to understand our organisational and departmental priorities and our cultural values, and to bring these to life in support of the University’s people strategy and vision.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be CIPD qualified or working towards and have demonstrable experience of managing complex employee relations processes, developing people policies and change management including consultation, TUPE, and effective Trade Union relations. You will be a credible, inclusive, and innovative HR Partner able to focus on enabling the University to shape itself for the future, in a complex and ever-changing sector, and by keeping the employee at the centre of all HR delivery.
