The Department of Oncology are looking to recruit an Associate Professor to be a key team member of the Early Cancer Institute (ECI).

The ECI is dedicated to understanding the earliest steps in the development of cancer to improve earlier detection and interception of the disease. This position will enable us to maintain the important workstream in genetic epidemiology which is an essential component of understanding susceptibility to cancer to inform clinical detection and intervention strategies.

The roleholder will contribute to the University's strategic aims through:

1) Establishing and leading research programmes.
2) Contributing to the organization and delivery of teaching and training.
3) Wider contributions in leadership, service on committees and administrative roles.

We are looking for an academically strong individual with a collaborative approach and a commitment to training. The successful candidate will have significant experience of both securing research funding and team leadership.
