Doctoral College Manager, Academic Registry
At Loughborough University, our aim is to strengthen our sector-leading position for education and student experience, with an ambition to grow our Doctoral Researcher population to 1500 by 2030. This is why we are looking for an exceptional individual to become a key specialist in our Doctoral College Office.
This varied role is one of two Doctoral College Manager positions within the team. You will support Doctoral Researchers and colleagues across our academic schools throughout the entire student life cycle. You will play a vital role in overseeing the Doctoral College Office’s operational activities and develop expertise in a range of other areas, including a broad portfolio of student related processes, staff management and student casework, all the while contributing to continuous improvements of our services.
We are looking for a proactive and organised team-player, with strong analytical skills and eye for detail. If you have excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and can demonstrably plan and deliver a varied workload, we want to hear from you.
This is a critical role within the Doctoral College and supports a wide variety of stakeholders. Your contribution has the ability to impact large numbers of students and staff across the University. We encourage you to join our collaborative and supportive team environment, where you can develop and learn about the University’s diverse doctoral researcher activity.
At Loughborough University we are committed to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and making the University a place where both students and staff feel valued and can realise their full potential. You will therefore appreciate the importance of EDI and be committed to its advancement.
Academic Registry make a vital contribution to the University’s continued success and the University is ranked in the top 10 of all major national league tables. We offer flexible working to colleagues where possible and understand the importance of a good work/life balance. You will be mostly based on campus, but with some opportunities for home working, as business needs allow, in line with the University’s dynamic working arrangements. In addition to working for an employer of choice on our stunning East Midlands campus, we offer an excellent range of benefits to our employees and pride ourselves on being family friendly.
