Job Description
We are currently seeking an Admissions Officer, who will be responsible for a range of functions relating to Admissions for various University programmes of study primarily delivered at our partner institutions. Although based at primarily at home and at Newton Park, work at other sites may be required.
About the Role
Reporting to the Admissions Coordinator (Partnerships), but under the general guidance of the Head of Admissions and Applicant Support, you will take responsibility for proactively assisting with all aspects of the admissions process for a portfolio of programmes, including monitoring recruitment targets, arranging visits and interviews, assessing qualifications, making decisions on student applications, and communicating with applicants and other stakeholders.
You will assist with admission and registration procedures and ensuring proper compilation and verification of documentation and data.
You will also be responding to email and telephone enquiries, offering professional information, advice and guidance to potential applicants, applicants, agents and partners.
In addition, you will contribute to all major Academic Planning activities and events including open days, clearing, registration, examinations & assessments and graduation, working effectively with colleagues from across the University.
About You
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as being able to provide excellent customer service, whilst working under pressure and to tight deadlines. You will also be able to plan, organise and effectively prioritise your work, whilst being a proactive and enthusiastic member of a team.
