About the role:
This new role comes at one of the most exciting times in the College’s long and distinguished history. We are embarking on some transformational building projects, including a landmark new quad for undergraduates and a café in the heart of the College, as well as a commitment to increase the number of graduates with funding for those who need it, and growing our Access & Outreach programme.
The post-holder will report to the Development Manager and will also work closely with the Development Director and Deputy Development Director. We are a friendly and collaborative team, with plenty of institutional and practical knowledge to learn form. The Development Office has an ethos of professional development, and this role is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in higher education fundraising. We would also be very pleased to hear from candidates with relevant transferrable skills.
About you:
The Development Coordinator must have keen attention to detail, be highly organised and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They must be able to work independently on their own initiative and be a cooperative team player. The position requires an understanding of and enthusiasm for fundraising activities, as well as a proactive interest in collectively furthering the goals of the Development Office.
Benefits:
Benefits of working at Magdalen include free lunches, car parking (depending on availability), May Morning (with breakfast in Hall), punting in the College grounds, our famous candlelit carol services, and 100 acres of riverside and woodland walks, including our 500-year-old deer park. If you’re not familiar with the College, come and walk around and see it for yourself – the buildings and grounds that inspired C S Lewis are a huge perk of working here.
