About you
As a Professor you will play a key role in planning and shaping one or more research area/s in the department as well as the school’s agenda for interdisciplinary research. You will bring to the role a strong professional reputation that should be evidenced through the production of world class research in leading academic journals. You should have led (or participated in) major funding bids, setting up, and managing the resources needed to deliver research projects. You should also be willing to act as a leader of the department of strategy, innovation and entrepreneurship, in a formal capacity (e.g., as department Head) or as a mentor of junior scholars. In addition, you will act as a leader and ambassador for our school and university across management and enterprise or other engagement activities.
You will be an experienced educator with a proven track record of high-quality teaching and pedagogical innovations, and willing to contribute to the development of education policy and practice as well as design and develop courses and programmes at all levels (UG, MSc, MBA and Executive Education). You should have sufficient experience supervising doctoral students (PhD and DBA programmes).
We welcome applications from candidates with a well-established research profile in the areas of entrepreneurship and/or strategy. The ideal candidate will have research expertise in entrepreneurship studies (broadly construed), strong skills in theory development, and a research interest in new technologies – such as Artificial Intelligence (AI). That said, a current focus on AI technologies is not a prerequisite.
Given that you will have to engage in some leadership role, you should also have demonstrable leadership skills. Such skills can be evidenced through your research, education and/or having held a key leadership role. Overall, you will have proven ability to innovate, engage and inspire students and colleagues alike, helping thus build a strong academic and collegial community.
