This is an exciting opportunity to join the Sussex Projects Team at the University of Sussex.

Are you a committed Senior Project Manager with a passion for driving innovation? We're seeking a colleague to manage the transformation of our Student Information systems, processes, and practice with a focus on improving automation, accessibility, and self-service. As a Senior Project Manager, you'll spearhead significant parts of this transformative project, leveraging your expertise to help us deliver technological, behavioural and cultural change within a challenging and complex environment. If you thrive in large, complex environments and have a proven track record of successful delivery of transformational change projects, join us in shaping the future.

Your main responsibilities :

  • Leading a cross-functional team to deliver technological, behavioural and cultural change.
  • Developing and executing a comprehensive project plan, managing timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements, address concerns, and align project goals with business objectives.
  • Overseeing the implementation process, ensuring adherence to best practices, and regulatory standards.
  • Proactively identifying and mitigating risks while maintaining a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Coordinating project, service, and business readiness activities via a transition plan. 

About you ….

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate a great level of experience in delivering complex transformational projects to time, budget and customer satisfaction. You will count stakeholder management as one of your strengths, presenting confidently and adapting your communication style to your audience. You will have experience in managing User Acceptance testing, user training and service transition at a large scale. The transition of complex projects into operational teams will be second nature to you. In situations of potential conflict, you will seek win-win situations with the best for the institution in mind. You will be keen to stay updated with evolving industry trends, and best practices You will be adaptable to changing environments and have an eagerness to incorporate new methodologies for improved project outcomes
