About the Department
The Provost’s Office comprises the Provost, Deans of Colleges, Director of Global Learning and Teaching, Head of Education Strategy and Student Experience, Head of Planning and the Learning and Teaching Enhancement team and the team that provides direct support to advancing the operational and strategic leadership of the University.
The team within the Provost’s Office provides essential support to the Provost and Provost’s Senior Management Team, including the execution of their internal leadership roles and external work.
About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Officer to the Provost’s Office, this role will provide day-to-day, high-level support, including managing diaries, arranging and coordinating national and international travel, managing correspondence, processing payments and receipts, and organising events hosted by the Provost. In addition, the post holder will assist the team to ensure the smooth running and productivity of the Provost’s office, greeting internal and external visitors, welcoming delegations and handling queries.
The post holder will have significant experience in providing high-level executive assistance to senior leaders within large and complex organisations. You will be an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, and have the ability to work across multiple parts and at all levels of an organisation, with tact and diplomacy. You will have proven organisational and work management skills, and an ability to deliver under pressure, often working to tight deadlines.
