The Role
The School of Business is looking to appoint two Apprenticeship Skills Coaches on a part-time permanent basis. This is an opportunity to contribute to several Degree Apprenticeship programmes within Kingston Business School. The key responsibilities include supporting the professional development of the apprentices by conducting progress reviews both in person, in the workplace and online or by telephone, building productive relationships with both apprentices and employers and identifying any emerging issues, including safeguarding issues, at an early stage, providing interventions where required. You will work across the School's Degree Apprenticeship provision, with a focus on with a focus on Business management within the Department of Management. You will conduct reviews with apprentices and their line managers/mentors, to be the first point of contact for both apprentices and for managers, facilitate induction and onboarding, coach learners to develop an e-portfolio, run skills workshops, provide pastoral support as a tutor, liaise with academic teams and represent the University in the workplace.
The Person
You will act as the point of contact for apprentices and employers, providing information, advice and guidance, coaching and support. You will monitor progress against the apprenticeship standard and prepare apprentices for End Point Assessment. You will maintain strong employer relationships, ensuring apprentices make excellent progress in their professional skills development in the workplace and employers facilitate competence against the apprenticeship standard.

These two vacancies are part-time, 22.2 hours per week, permanent positions with a starting salary of £28,950.60 per annum (60% pro-rata of £48,251.00)
