The University of Winchester is seeking to recruit a full-time permanent Senior Admissions Officer to work within the Department of Marketing, Communications and Engagement (MCE). The Department is responsible for the recruitment of students from across the world, with a particular focus on activities that support prospective students on their journey to the University.
The role of Senior Admissions Officer is a key role in delivering an excellent admissions function within the University. You will have supervisory responsibility for the work of the Admissions Officers, to effectively deliver the agreed offer-making strategy in line with the department’s key performance indicators. In addition, you will be responsible for enquiries and applications to a portfolio of courses.
You will be expected to be the first point of contact for the Admissions Team, supervising and motivating the team of Admissions Officers to ensure that decisions made on applications are accurate, timely and are made in accordance with University policies and targets.
The role will have responsibility for ensuring that processes adhere to UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), and occupational health requirements required for entry and involve working closely with colleagues from within the department and across the wider University. The role will also play a key role in delivering a successful clearing and confirmation.
You will have a good understanding and confidence with numbers and the importance of data accuracy. You will be expected to be a confident user of Excel to analyse data and experience of using a business intelligence reporting tool, such as Tableau or a similar statistical package would be an advantage.
