Access and Participation Officer

Escape Studios

Escape Studios seeks a dedicated professional to join our team as the Access and Participation Officer.

Based at 6 Mitre Passage, North Greenwich, but with hybrid working, this full-time, permanent position is a unique opportunity to join our access and participation team to deliver our ambitious school outreach programme. Reporting to the Student Diversity and Inclusion Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our outreach strategy and exploring innovative ways to engage young people within our target schools. Your responsibilities will include working with colleagues from Escape Studios who focus on school and college outreach to undertake cross-disciplinary outreach activities, making this a dynamic and exciting role.

Responsibilities include developing and delivering workshops and activities to raise attainment and support the transition to university for potential students and supporting the access and participation interns. You will work on developing and maintaining relationships with our local target schools, delivering presentations, workshops and events to promote equality of opportunity and awareness of the value of higher education.

You will contribute to the operation of the Student Recruitment team by promoting and supporting access and participation in their activities, including the delivery of the Escape Saturday Club and Holiday Club. You will also support the team with the operational planning of student recruitment to ensure access and participation objectives are delivered. Finally, you will demonstrate a passion for access and participation and ensure every young person has the information and opportunity to engage in higher education.

We’re looking for candidates with experience in a higher education access and participation environment. Your expertise is highly valued and will be instrumental in this role. As a confident communicator with experience delivering presentations to groups and the ability to generate reports, monitor data, and undertake project evaluations, you will be a key asset to Escape Studios.

A degree or equivalent qualification or experience and a passion for working with young people to advance access and participation are required.
