About the Role:

The School of Management at ARU is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Marketing and Events, to join the Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Tourism subject group within the school. The successful candidate would contribute to the teaching, research, and consultancy activities of the group, including teaching on a range of business-related courses within the faculty, at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

As a school, we are committed to an active, collaborative learning pedagogy across our face to face, blended, and distance learning courses and we welcome applicants with experience in, and enthusiasm for, innovative teaching and learning approaches.

One of ARU’s priority research areas is in ‘Sustainable Futures’, and the IMPact Research Centre situated within the School of Management brings together colleagues working on a range of projects on the future of work and consumption. Applications from candidates who would be able to contribute to this research area, for example with work on prosperity, sustainability, and wellbeing, are particularly welcome.

Candidates should have a degree plus PhD or Professional Doctorate (or be near completion within the first 18 months of employment). Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential for this role. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate teaching experience at HE level, in a relevant subject area.
