Join us in a rewarding role as a Research Assistant within the PRISM Research Group at the Centre for Academic Primary Care. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled researcher experienced in using large routinely collected electronic health records for research. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to projects focused on improving the early identification of dementia in the general population and developing/validating an effective risk-scoring tool for asthma attacks to improve patient outcomes.
In this role, you will use anonymised routinely collected electronic primary care records from the Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD GOLD and Aurum) databases. Your responsibilities will include managing and cleaning CPRD datasets, conducting statistical analyses in accordance with the research protocols, and collaborating closely with the research team and external collaborators to meet the research objectives. Additionally, you will be instrumental in writing up publications and leading the dissemination activities.
You'll be an integral part of our study team, working closely with Professor Nadeem Qureshi, Dr Matthew Martin, and Dr Ralph Akyea. At the Centre for Academic Primary Care, we foster a vibrant environment of national and international research collaborations. Here, you will have ample opportunities to leverage the collective creativity and expertise of your peers and mentors to identify new research opportunities, develop research methodologies, and expand your research portfolio. Join us in making a meaningful impact on healthcare research while thriving in a supportive and inclusive research environment.
