Postdoctoral Researcher

Kingston University – School of Life Sciences, Pharmacy and Chemistry

The Role
The post holder will be working on one or more NMR research projects, funded by Haleon PLC and will support the Principal Investigator. Activities will include preparing samples and/or experiments, developing and running bespoke NMR experiments, collating data/recording the results, undertaking analysis and conducting literature analysis as appropriate. The post holder will help to prepare research work for publication/output on their own or in collaboration with colleagues as directed by the research leader. Active participation in collaborative decision-making with colleagues on research challenges within the area of expertise is expected. The work undertaken will have a direct or indirect impact on our institution development and strategy research positioning.

The Person
You will have relevant research capacity and capability to undertake the research tasks showing current knowledge in the academic field in question. When requested, you will make a contribution to the growth of research-related theory and practice continued education or training to keep your knowledge and skills up to date as needed. Applicants should possess a commitment to inclusivity, demonstrating a respect for diverse perspectives and approach challenges with a creative and innovative mindset, seeking imaginative solutions. The Faculty

School of Life Sciences, Pharmacy and Chemistry

We have invested heavily in the development of new facilities, with our laboratories providing access to ultra-modern equipment and teaching facilities in areas such as biochemistry, biotechnology, cell and molecular biology, immunology, microbiology, nutrition, pharmacology, sport science (including biomechanics and an environmental testing chamber), chemical synthesis and analysis, pharmaceutics, specialist labs for pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical science and chemistry, a forensic scene-of-crime house and a pharmacy dispensing simulation suite.

Further Information
This is a full-time, fixed-term position until 31 December 2024 with a starting salary of £37,646 per annum.
