We are looking for an enthusiastic technician to support a range of lab-based activities in the field of wound healing. The successful candidate will work with a team that are part of the Manchester Biomedical Research Centre’s Complex Wounds Programme (which sits within the Dermatology Theme). The successful candidate will work on two specific research projects, including newly awarded MRC Developmental Pathway Funding Scheme on a novel wound dressing. They will also be responsible for general laboratory activities.
Key activities for this post-holder include undertaking specified experiments, contributing to experimental design, consultation with, and supporting other researchers, data analyses, presentation and reporting. The post also involves supporting work across several laboratories and providing technical support between our collaboration. The role involves ensuring there is a sound scientific knowledge base available and there is compliance with University procedures and regulations, particularly Health and Safety legislation. Management of the facilities will include maintenance, advice and induction on the procurement and use of equipment and general laboratory organization. The post holder will need to liaise with others to ensure they have a clear understanding of the needs of the School, Faculty and University to achieve their goals.
