We have an exciting opportunity at the University of Sheffield for an Admissions Officer to join our Admissions team in the School of Allied Health Professions, Nursing and Midwifery. As an Admissions Officer, you will play a vital role in the recruitment and admissions activities for both undergraduate, postgraduate (taught), and Continuing Professional Development admissions across the School.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle prospective student enquiries and provide comprehensive information about our programmes and modules
  • Process applications and ensure all required documents are received and reviewed
  • Manage admissions data and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with a diverse group of individuals, including academic staff, students, and external partners.
  • Collaborate with the Admissions team to continuously improve processes and enhance the applicant experience

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Google applications
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities to effectively handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in data management
  • A flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong collaboration skills and a positive approach to fostering a harmonious work environment
