Position Overview
MIU seeks an experienced Programme Director to lead academic programmes. This role involves strategic planning, development, implementation, and evaluation. The ideal candidate will be a visionary with a robust academic background, organizational skills, and a passion for education.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership.
- Establish objectives and create actionable plans.
- International Programme Implementation:
- Oversee programmes in Cameroon, Nigeria, Lebanon, and Kosovo.
- Coordinate with local partners and faculty.
- Regularly communicate with project coordinators to monitor performance.
- Ensure compliance with local education regulations.
- Oversee the design and development of a cutting-edge curriculum.
- Regularly review and update the curriculum.
- Recruit, develop, and mentor faculty members.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development.
- Enhance student experience through effective delivery and advising.
- Organize workshops and seminars.
- Implement rigorous quality assurance processes.
- Conduct regular programme reviews and assessments.
- Develop and manage the programme budget.
- Monitor expenditures and make adjustments.
- Build and maintain relationships with partners, alumni, and stakeholders.
- Develop partnerships to enhance the programme’s profile.
- Promote and support research activities.
- Facilitate opportunities for research projects.
Leading on Strategy and Growth
- Contribute to MIU’s strategic plan.
- Identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing heads to enhance the programme’s reputation.
- Participate in conferences to showcase MIU’s achievements.
- Develop strategies for programme growth and international partnerships.
- Explore revenue-generating activities.
- Conduct market analysis for programme development.
- Use insights for marketing strategies.
- Strengthen alumni connections for support and engagement.
- Develop alumni programs for community involvement.
Liaison and Coordination:
- Collaborate with liaisons for effective communication.
- Maintain contact with project coordinators in Kosovo, Lebanon, Nigeria, and Cameroon.
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Significant academic and administrative experience.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and implement innovative programmes.
