Job description
The Department of Metabolism, Digestion and Reproduction is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and skilled individual to join as a Staffing and Equality Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator. Reporting to the Department Manager and working closely with other members of the core administrative team, you will play an important role in shaping and implementing HR policies within the Department and contributing to the EDI initiatives.
You will provide guidance, advice, and support to all staff, ensuring that our policies are up to date and aligned with current practices. You will be the primary point of contact for HR operational activities and will be instrumental in encouraging an inclusive and collaborative work environment.

Essential Requirements:
You will have proven experience in an administrative role preferably within a similar academic, or research environment. You should have a strong knowledge of HR practices and EDI principles as well as experience of recruitment and selection processes and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential along with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively. You must be able to work independently with minimum supervision and take a proactive approach to your work.
High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities will be essential in this role.

This is a full-time, open-ended role, based at Imperial’s Hammersmith Campus in East Acton, although travel to other campuses of Imperial College London will be required. The successful candidate will be expected to be on Campus for a minimum of 60% of the working week, in line with Imperial’s flexible working policy.
