As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching, curriculum development, and on-going scholarship on the Fashion Marketing and Content Creation course. Based in the Fashion Business School, this course adopts a creative approach to marketing and communication, instilling in students the principles of marketing and branding through theory, practice and challenging industry-focused projects. You will prepare students for careers in fashion marketing, content creation and communications.
You will undertake teaching and scholarly activity in relevant specialist areas, such as written and visual content creation, social media marketing, fashion photography, digital marketing, video-editing, creative production, data analysis, and sustainable business. You will work closely with the course team to develop pedagogy and the curriculum in innovative and critical directions, ensuring that developments in research, industry and the subject itself, are reflected in the curriculum.
In addition to your undergraduate cohort, you will also be responsible for the pastoral support, progress and attendance for a year group of postgraduate students, fostering positive student progression, engagement and experiences.
About you
You will need experience of teaching and assessment in a Higher Education environment or will possess the equivalent experience. You will also provide evidence of research, teaching, knowledge exchange and/or professional practice that contributes to the advancement of relevant activity and that aligns with the goals of the Programme, College and University.
You will be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and will be able to build positive working relationships with students. Excellent teamwork, organisational and problem-solving skills will also be essential.
