Main duties and responsibilities
Reporting to one of our Senior Education Liaison Officers, you will be responsible for independently planning and delivering UK student recruitment activities with a view to raising the profile of the University of Hertfordshire to attract and encourage suitably qualified UK student applications to the University.
You will be working with academics and colleagues across Marketing and Communications to develop and implement activities and events that will engage and inform prospective students, parents, school and college staff.
You will be required to work flexibly, to deliver workshops, presentations and represent the University at Higher Education Fairs, Exhibitions and other recruitment events. Some events will be held during evenings and weekends, with exhibitions taking place across the UK. You will also be responsible for data gathering, reporting on activities and competitor research with a view to improving and maintaining the University’s position.
Skills and experience required
You must have excellent communication and proven experience delivering successful presentations and workshops, alongside the ability to establish effective relationships with schools, colleges, colleagues and a wide range of stakeholders, as well as being a good team player. You will also need to have strong organisational skills with the ability to work methodically to meet deadlines. You will possess strong IT skills including MS Office. A good knowledge of the secondary/further education sector is needed, alongside the ability to travel to various locations for presentations and recruitment fairs. Experience in educational advisory/student recruitment would be advantageous.
Qualifications required
Educated with a minimum of degree or equivalent to a level 6 qualification or proven professional experience.
