Our work influences theoretical debates and public policies on: early childhood; children’s health, care and education services; children’s agency; young people’s identities; intersectionality; reproduction; motherhood and fatherhood; gender equality; family diversity; poverty including food poverty; parental leave; place-based inequalities; children’s language brokering; transnational families and practices; social pedagogy; work-family reconciliation; migration experiences.
About the role
You will join a new team investigating the impact of co-locating welfare advisory services with health appointments for newborn children. The team is formed to deliver a large NIHR public health funded, three year project called Healthier Wealthier Families in East London that is pioneering ways of ameliorating the cost of living crisis on families with very young children.
About you
With a PhD in public health, sociology or social science or a related area of study, you will have skills and experience in research project management, implementation of interventions, and in qualitative research e.g., ethnography and co-design.
You will be excited to make a difference to families’ lives and committed to the communities of East London.
