Hours: Full Time
Contract Type: Permanent
Placed On: 13th June 2024

Job Ref: AS5227-24-205

Interview Date: Wednesday 17 July 2024

We would like you to bring your strong analytical and problem-solving skills to this key position, where you will be responsible for the annual delivery of personalised timetables to all students leading the central timetabling team and for all other aspects of student timetabling operations.

Our University has well-established protocols and processes for timetabling, following a successful project to move from locally to centrally produced timetables over the past few years.  In this role you will take the lead on the further enhancement of the timetabling arrangements, particularly in relation to the sourcing and implementation of a new timetabling system which supports efficient timetabling processes and the education and student experience priorities of the institution.

This role involves significant partnership working with the University's Schools, Students Union, other professional services and senior management which will require you to deploy your expertise to resolve complex operational issues collaboratively.  In order to be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Previous timetabling experience within the HE Sector
  • Excellent planning, negotiating, and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to prioritise to meet strategic initiatives
  • Strong communicator, able to negotiate and influence others effectively at all levels, both orally and in writing.

For an informal conversation please contact Emma Burchfield, Deputy Academic Registrar (Registry Services). Email: e.burchfield@brighton.ac.uk

This is a full-time (37 hours per week), permanent post, with an expected start date of August 2024.

Job-sharers are welcome to apply, and this role is eligible for our agile working policy, meaning that you can work part of the week from remotely.

Interviews for this position will be held in-person at the Moulsecoomb campus on 17 July 2024.
