The Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Internal Communications Manager to lead the development of internal communication strategies and initiatives at our dynamic and fast-growing university. 

As the Senior Internal Communications Manager at Ravensbourne University London, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive internal communication strategies and plans that engage and inform the staff and students that make up our university community. 

This is a brand-new role, and you’ll have the opportunity to really make your mark on internal communications at our university. Reporting directly to the Head of Communications and Content and advising our senior leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening our sense of community, embedding our values and strategy and facilitating transparent communication across all levels of the organisation.

You’ll be joining the university at an exciting time as we introduce our new five-year business strategy, you will play a critical role in embedding the strategy with staff and students, gaining buy in to plans and supporting our ongoing rapid expansion plans. You’ll join our fun and friendly communications team and be based at our campus in North Greenwich, opposite the 02.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of working within an internal communications role. You will ideally have experience of the following areas:

  •   Creating and embedding internal communications strategy
  •   Significant expertise in staff and student engagement, including senior stakeholder management 
  •   Experience of managing change management communications
  •   Providing strategic advice and guidance to leadership teams
  •   Developing and managing highly functioning internal communications channels
  •   Successfully managing and developing a small team
  •   Establishing feedback mechanisms between staff, students and the communications team
  •   Ensuring that all internal communications are aligned with the university’s brand identity, values and commitment to diversity.
