ABOUT THE ROLE
Seagrass Ocean Rescue North Wales is a multi-partner restoration programme aiming to plant 10 hectares of seagrass at a range of sites on Penllyn and Ynys Mon. The project is led by WWF and funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. This position works under the leadership of Project Seagrass as the biological delivery partner for the planting elements of the work. This builds on recent successful projects in Dale in West Wales and is currently working to improve seagrass restoration methods for upscaling and to understand the applicability of seagrass sites for future restoration. The project has commenced its first full year of planting and results are to date very promising.The role will provide strong leadership to the field based activities working under a senior research officer and alongside a field assistant.
