The University of Glasgow’s College of Medical, Veterinary & Life Sciences (MVLS) is investing significantly in developing future academic leaders through the provision of up to 10 prestigious academic fellowships. These early career academic opportunities are available for those with ambition to become leaders in their chosen field and who have a demonstrable and emerging publication output.

To drive our vision forward, we’re looking to recruit 10 ‘Futures Fellows’ who will be hosted within our Schools and woven into the fabric of our four College Futures Themes.

Who we’re looking for

At the point of application, Fellows must have:

  • A PhD and at least 3-years postdoctoral research experience.
  • An emerging track record of high quality research publications.
  • Research interests that align with at least one of our College Futures.

Next steps

Candidates who are successful in their initial application will be invited to liaise with colleagues within the host School to develop a research proposal and present to their School Community. It is expected that this will take place between 16th September – 19th November 2024.
