Edinburgh Research Partnership in Engineering (ERPE) Impact Officer

Full-time: 35 hours per week

Open-ended: permanent

The Opportunity:

The Edinburgh Research Partnership in Engineering (ERPE) is a strategic alliance between Engineering research at Heriot-Watt University and the University of Edinburgh. As two of the UK's leading research universities, we work with academic, industry and public sector partners delivering world-leading expertise in engineering to deliver the most effective commercial, social, environmental and economic impacts. 

The purpose of this role is to support and enhance ERPE and to help to promote the impact of the research undertaken. Working in support of the Directors of Impact the postholder will develop and deliver integrated communication activities to share knowledge and awareness of ERPE’s internationally-leading research and impact, devising and implementing best impact practice across the research support structures and communities.

Your skills and attributes for success: 

• Educated to degree standard or equivalent formal training or/and hands-on experience in one or more similar or related roles. 
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant HE sectoral issues.
• Understanding of impact and outputs derived from research utilised by external organisations. 
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Adaptability and willingness to proactively drive new approaches.
